A year after his death, church elders move to bury clergyman

They waited almost a year, but now, apparently tired of waiting, the church elders and Ajanaku's widow are making plans to inter the clergyman's mortal remains.

Self styled Nigerian prophet Iretiola Ajanaku was a man renowned for his ability to heal the sick, make the deaf hear, the lame walk and other miracles, at least that was what his ministry wanted the world to believe. With this attribute, when the good prophet passed away in August last year, some of his disciples expected him to do a Lazarus or a Christ, to return from the dead.

In a statement sent to media houses,  Shola Bamidele, the church’s media personnel, stated that  a lying-in-state will be held for the ‘True Icon of God’ at the Church premises, after which he will be interred.

Having waited for one year for the prophet to awake, it won’t be surprising to expect that they will remain expectant even while the funeral rites are ongoing.
