Police Finally Arrest Romeo Killer Of Lagos Rich Biz Woman And Made Away With Her $50,000,Rover Jeep In Cote d Ivoire

Late Lizzy

Her resident where the murder took place

On Monday 21st July 2014, The Nigeria Police Area ‘E Command Festac responded to an emergency call at Amuwo Odofin involving the murder of Mrs. Njideka Lizzy – a divorcee and mother of 4. Once on scene, officers say they found the strangulated body of the victim lying lifelessly in her apartment. The remain of Mrs. Njideka Lizzy was immediately deposited at the nearest morgue while the Nigeria police Festac embarked on an intensive investigation and manhunt for her killer.

The gatekeeper at the deceased residence, who is also the prime witness, told the police that the suspect was not just a familiar and regular visitor but also considered a  family friend. Hence, he never suspected anything as he opened the gate for the 33-year-old Kelechi Eze who hurriedly drove off in the deceased Range Rover SUV jeep at about 2:30am.

Information gathered by the Festac Police has it that the prime suspect, Mr. Kelechi Eze who was formally based in South Africa hails from Umuorji in Anambra State, and speaks multiple languages fluently including French. Preliminary investigation reported that the murder suspect was a hatchet man and serial killer who was compelled to relocate from South Africa to Ghana after being declared wanted by the South African security authority for grave atrocities.

The deceased family members reported that Mr. Kelechi Eze had been having a consummated relationship with late Mrs. Njideka Lizzy, which accounted for his incessant trips from Ghana to Nigeria. But the relationship turned sour when the suspect - Mr. kelechi Eze proposed marriage to late Mrs. Njideka Lizzy was turned down by the deceased and family members due to some undisclosed reasons.

It is believed that the disparagement of Mr. Kelechi’s marriage proposal by late Mrs. Njideka Lizzy took him aback; hence his sinister agenda to get even by hook or by crook.

The late Mrs. Njideka Lizzy family members further reported that the murder suspect not only snuffed life out of his unsuspecting victim who until death was a manager of Edmark International but also made away with her Range Rover SUV jeep, over $50,000 dollars, valuables worth over N8 million naira and the decease mobile phones and ATM cards amongst others.

The hatchet man and serial killer- Mr Kelechi Eze who at the execution of his sinister agenda at Amuwo Odofin Festac immediately fled Nigeria for Ghana and from Ghana to Côte d'Ivoire was yesterday Tuesday, 29th July 2014 taken into custody by the Côte d'Ivoire security force following an orchestrated forensic auditing investigation, networked tracking and extensive surveillance masterminded by the acclaimed ACP Dan Nkem Okoro and his DPO - Area ‘E Command, Nigeria Police Festac.

In a press conference in Ghana, the IGP of the Ghana Police Service - Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan, and the Côte d'Ivoire security force commended ACP Dan Okoro of the Nigeria Police Force Area ‘E command for his flawless forensic prowess and disposition in solving crimes and concerted efforts to ensuring that criminals have no hiding place in Africa and beyond.

He further asserted that the murder suspect- Mr. Kelechi Eze who has been handed to the Ghanaian Security Force by the Côte d'Ivoire National Security Force shall in turn be processed and securely transported to Nigeria for further prosecution and execution.

On receiving the news of the apprehension of the dreaded serial killer, the entire residents of Amuwo Odofin, especially the immediate families, friends and colleagues of late Mrs. Njideka Lizzy applauded ACP Dan Nkem Okoro (Area ‘E Commander) and the Festac Police force for their ingenuity and responsiveness over the arrest of Mr. Kelechi Eze within one week of the incidence. And in the same vein thanked the IGP of the Nigeria Police for his God-discerned decision in posting such officers to Amuwo Odofin local government area.

Namibia’s wife swapping practice ignites debate

Wife-swapping among Namibia's nomadic tribes has been practised for generations, but a legislator's call to enshrine it in law has stirred debate about women's rights and tradition in modern society

The practice is known as “okujepisa omukazendu” – which loosely means “offering a wife to a guest” – the practice is little known outside these reclusive communities, whose population is estimated at 86 000. It is a kind of gentlemen’s agreement where friends can have sex with each others’ wives – no strings attached.

Of course, the wives don’t have much say in the matter. They’re swapped and changed and swung between different men in a country with one of the world’s highest HIV infection rates.

But the Ovahimba and Ovazemba tribes defend their cultural practice, saying it strengthens their friendships and prevents promiscuity. “It’s a culture that gives us unity and friendship,” said Kazeongere Tjeundo, a lawmaker and deputy president of the opposition Democratic Turnhalle Alliance of Namibia.

“It’s up to you to choose (among) your mates who you like the most… to allow him to sleep with your wife,” said Tjeundo, a member of the Ovahimba ethnic group. Tjeundo plans to propose a wife-swapping law following a November legislative poll when he’s tipped for re-election.

Mainly found in the north-western Kunene region near the Angolan border, the tribes are largely isolated from the rest of the country. They have resisted the trappings of modern life, keep livestock, live off the land and practice ancestral worship.

Africa's Richest Man Aliko Dangote Invests $1 Billion In Rice Production In Nigeria

Aliko Dangote

Africa’s wealthiest man Aliko Dangote has announced plans to invest $1 billion in commercial rice farming and modern integrated rice mills in Nigeria.

Dangote reportedly made the announcement on Friday during a visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture, Akinwumi Adesina, at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture headquarters in Abuja, before heading to the Presidential Villa to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigerian Government.

The billionaire told officials of the Ministry of Agriculture that his new investment was in support of the Nigerian Government’s plan to attain food sufficiency and become a net-exporter of rice within the next four years.

“With rice as a major staple, we have placed total sufficiency in rice production as a major priority for our country and key value chain for our economy,” Dangote said.

Dangote Group has acquired approximately 150,000 hectares of farmland in five Nigerian states- Edo, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kwara and Niger, which will be used for the commercial production of rice paddy. The company will also set-up two rice mills with an installed capacity of 240,000 metric tons of rice per day.

“With this installed capacity, the project will become the largest integrated rice mill in Africa,” Dangote said.

Once Dangote’s rice plant starts production, it is expected that the price of locally produced rice will be significantly reduced. The new venture is expected to create at least 8,000 new jobs.

President Goodluck Jonathan commended Dangote for his latest investment in economy, stating that it was easily the single largest investment ever made in rice production in Africa. The Minister for Agriculture, Akinwumi Adesina described Dangote’s new investment as “transformational for Nigeria and the rest of Africa”.

Dangote is the richest man in Africa with a fortune estimated at $25.1 billion, derived from holdings in cement, flour, sugar and agriculture.

Demoted worker shoots CEO, kills self in Chicago

Chicago shooting: Police investigate a shooting reported on the 17th floor at 231 South LaSalle Street, Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Chicago.

CHICAGO (AP) — A demoted executive shot and critically wounded his company's CEO before fatally shooting himself Thursday inside a high-rise office building in downtown Chicago's bustling financial district, police said.

The worker pulled a gun after entering the 17th-floor office to privately meet with the CEO, and during a struggle for the weapon, the CEO was shot in his head and abdomen, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said. The gunman then fatally shot himself.

"Apparently he was despondent over the fact that he got demoted," McCarthy said, adding that the alleged shooter was among "a number of people" being demoted as the company downsized.

The alleged gunman was later identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as 60-year-old Anthony DeFrances.

A man by the same name is listed as an executive on the website for ArrowStream, a supply-chain management technology company whose address is on the 17th floor of Bank of America building, where the shootings occurred. The company's CEO is Steven LaVoie, according to the site.

Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago confirmed that a man named Steven Lavoie was in critical condition in the hospital, but declined to elaborate. Police said the victim of the shooting was taken to Northwestern, but messages left with police and ArrowStream were not returned Thursday.

According to ArrowStream's website, LaVoie founded the company in 2000, and DeFrances joined the next year and was currently its chief technology officer. Both men are listed as married with three children.

Police were called just before 10 a.m. to the building, which is a few blocks from the Willis Tower, the country's second-tallest skyscraper, and a block from the Chicago Board of Trade.

Officers cordoned off the immediate area outside, and SWAT team members and other officers rushed inside. They found two men on the floor, both of them shot, according to police.

Workers elsewhere in the building said they received warnings from building security over the intercom and in emails around 10 a.m. telling them there was a security situation in the lobby and to stay at their desks.

"It was a tense atmosphere, everybody was walking around, you wanted more details but they wouldn't give us much," said Stefano Freddo, who works on the building's 10th floor.

He said someone came over the intercom a few minutes later to tell them it was safe to leave their offices.

Freddo, 32, said security officers are stationed in the building, and that workers need a badge showing they work there to gain access to the elevators in the lobby. But he said there are no metal detectors in the building.

"Maybe we should have those," he said.

Nigerian prostitutes ramp up drive for rights

Lagos, Nigeria - Patoo Abraham has become famous for fighting for the rights of prostitutes, but what she - and those she is trying to help - do to make a living is illegal and frowned upon by many in the country.

Abraham is not only proud of her profession but is also campaigning to ensure that prostitution is legalised and that sex workers are respected in Africa's most populous country.

The 48-year-old has led a couple of protests in Lagos, Nigeria's commercial capital, demanding the rights of prostitutes in a country where sex vendors suffer physical harm at the hands of their punters.

Under the auspices of different organisations, scores of prostitutes marched on the streets of Lagos, chanting provocative slogans.

This boldness is unprecedented, and the protesters carried their signature red umbrellas and T-shirts with the inscription "Sex work is work, we need our rights."

"We are tired of dying in silence," Abraham, who heads the Nigerian chapter of African Sex Workers Alliance (ASWA), told Al Jazeera. "We want to be able to practise our profession with pride like every other person. We want an end to name-calling and stigmatisation. We are sex workers and not asawo [a Yoruba derogatory name for prostitutes]."

Sex work, said Abraham, is normal work and that there are "sex workers everywhere under one form of disguise or the other". "[The] government should stop criminalising our work," said the woman who is also the president of the Women of Power Initiative (WOPI), a non-governmental organisation established to advance the cause of sex work in Nigeria.

Although Nigeria has posted impressive economic growth, overtaking South Africa to become Africa's largest economy, unemployment remains widespread and many Nigerian women have ended up working as prostitutes in part because they cannot find work.

Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said in April that no fewer than 5.3 million youths are jobless, and the World Bank last year put the number of Nigerians living in destitution at 100 million.

The Decision That Helped Make Me A Millionaire Before Age 40

woman reading in front of water

Like any typical child, my mother received an allowance from her father. But unlike a typical child, she received that allowance into her 60’s. He stopped writing her checks only when he died. My mother received financial support from her father because as a teacher and divorced mother of two, she could not make ends meet on her own. Her teacher’s salary alone didn’t cover the kind of lifestyle she wanted to live.
My mother divorced my father when I was four. Then my mother and stepfather divorced when I was 10. There was no man in the house for a few months and soon thereafter came the string of boyfriends.

Of all my mother’s boyfriends, I remember Robert the most. My mother seemed to feel proud and privileged to be his girlfriend. He was older and wealthier than any other man she had dated.

Robert was a handsome, highly paid marketing executive with a major Pennsylvania department store who drank dry martinis, wore Italian sports coats and drove a Datsun 280zx. He was separated from his wife who lived in Florida.

My brother and I assumed he would eventually get a divorce and move in with us. After Robert bought me a tan, corduroy suit for my piano recital (it was considered very stylish for the early 80’s), I imagined all the clothes he could afford to buy me as gifts.

When Robert was diagnosed with cancer, he moved back to Florida with his wife and children to die. My mother told me after his death that he had “abandoned” her. I was only 14 and felt confused by the choice of words she used to describe her pain. She could have said she was “sad” or “lonely” but instead she used the word “abandon.”

I looked the word up in the dictionary and it meant that Robert had “ceased to support” her. I decided that I would never put myself in such a vulnerable, helpless situation and from that point on, vowed to support myself (with or without a man).

My grandparents on my father’s side were poor. I was 24 when my paternal grandmother died, and she left me $1,600. Although I wanted to spend that windfall on things that most young women like to spend money on (such as clothes and shoes), I knew I needed to begin investing for my future. I was currently employed but had already been laid off twice and concluded that I couldn’t count on a man or a job to provide financial stability. I had to build a financial cushion myself.

In thinking about whether I would save or invest that $1,600, there was only one clear choice: invest in the stock market. I recalled an eye-opening chart presented by Wharton Professor Jeremy Siegel when I was studying finance that demonstrated that over the long run (despite its short term risk of going down) the stock market generated higher returns than other asset classes, such as bonds or certificates of deposit (CDs). Since I was in my mid-20′s, I had quite a long time horizon and knew that stocks were the place I wanted to invest my cash.

The decision I made to invest that $1,600 (not merely save it) was the most important wealth-building decision I made in my life. It is the reason I became a millionaire before I turned 40, a feat that would not have been possible had I chosen to keep that money in the bank.

That’s why I feel sad when I read articles about the large numbers of millennials who are shunning the stock market and keeping their money in cash. It’s a mathematical fact that you can’t grow your money by keeping it in a mattress or in a bank account earning close to zero percent. But according to a recent Wells Fargo study, only half of millennial women agree that the stock market is the best place to invest for retirement and only nine percent are saving at least one-tenth of their income.

I’m doing my part to change that trend. If I can inspire just one more percent of women to not only save more of their income — but to invest it in the stock market — imagine the millions of dollars of wealth that we as women can build on our own.

Was it easy to go from $1,600 to $1 million in just 15 years? Did I get lucky on one stock pick that doubled in value every year? Of course not. I had to regularly add money I earned at work to my brokerage and retirement accounts. It wasn’t easy, but it also wasn’t as hard as you might think.

In my book, “Every Woman Should Know Her Options: Invest Your Way to Financial Empowerment,” I explain the decisions and trade-offs I made regarding spending, adopting a frugal lifestyle, forgoing graduate school (because I didn’t want to take on more student loan debt), renting instead of buying, and delaying marriage and family.

The major benefit of the book is that women get the opportunity to learn from my two decades of investing experience in language and through examples that resonate with women.

The path to financial empowerment can be a long and bumpy road, but you can do it — with or without a husband or partner. There is no better time to start investing than the present, no matter what your age. And you don’t need lots of money to start. If you have an employer-sponsored retirement plan, contribute to it. If you don’t, open a self-directed IRA.

Don’t let your fear of making poor decisions with your money stop you. When you invest, sometimes you make money and sometimes you lose it. But if you start early, make contributions a regular habit, and stay in it for the long term, you might just end up a millionaire.

Church Insists on Pressing Charges After Homeless Man Eats $2.25 Worth of Cookies

After a homeless man dipped into the church’s cookie jar, First Baptist Church of Royal Palm Beach in Florida had him arrested–for his own good, church officials say. The unnamed man, seeking assistance from the church, entered the church through an unlocked door. Once he entered the building, he saw a cookie jar and helped himself to the cookies inside.

A cleaning person happened upon the man and called 911. After a church employee showed up, it was decided that the First Baptist Church would demonstrate Christian charity by having the homeless man locked up for the theft of the cookies, which are valued at $2.25.

Isaiah 58:7 may read ” Share your food with the hungry and open your homes to the homeless poor. Give clothes to those who have nothing to wear, and do not refuse to help your own relatives,” but, the church says that the decision to press charges had the homeless man’s best interests at heart.

Church officials decided that the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and, despite admissions that the church has contacts with rehabilitation programs that could have helped this person and claims that the church says it regularly feeds homeless people – First Baptist claims that having the man arrested “seemed reasonable.” However, the church admits that the situation could have been handled differently.

The Bible is full of commands that Christians feed the hungry. Apparently, church officials didn’t get the memo.

Europe Destroyed African Culture - The Alaafin of Oyo

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, has berated Europeans for ‘deliberately setting out to destroy other cultures’ with their hegemonic one. The monarch said the Europeans super-imposed their own cultures and values on subject peoples, in order to perpetuate the relationship of inequality and inequity, so as to achieve their purpose.

He said this in his speech, delivered yesterday at the first Brazil- Nigeria International Seminar to Preserve Shared Cultural Heritage, held at Salvador/Bahia, Brazil.

The monarch stated that the religious foundation of the Yoruba tradition and culture “is presently under serious threats posed by guest faiths in Africa, the parlous socioeconomic conditions in Africa and a creation of neo-liberal economic policies, which have continued to impoverish many African states.”

His words: “The guest faiths are, therefore, feeding on this to preach the gospel of individual prosperity and well-being on earth.

“They have abandoned the earlier gospel of earthly denials in order to enjoy heaven. By their new approach, they are misleading scores and scores of Africans, encouraging them to disrespect, dishonour and abandon anything African, with our religious beliefs being demonised and discarded,” he noted.

The Alaafin added: “Some misguided Africans now abandon their family names in preference to names without bearing to their backgrounds.

“This danger is imminent and it is already destroying the African personality and confidence.” While insisting that European colonisation of Africa was indeed a cultural project, Oba Adeyemi said, “It is now commonplace in Africa for practitioners of the African religion to be vilified, persecuted and blamed for the underdevelopment of their societies.”

To reverse the trend, the Alaafin appealed to the Brazilian government to support efforts to preserve the cultural monuments and the tangible heritage by supporting a World Heritage nomination to UNESCO and the listing of Oyo town as an endangered heritage site.

According to the monarch, the support could also come through conduct of academic researches to study and map all assets of Oyo’s cultural heritage, as well as promotion and support of the use of new technologies for heritage management and education, in addition to encouraging and facilitating Brazilians to visit and study the ancient traditions of Oyo.

Oba Adeyemi, in the paper entitled: ‘Perpetuating Sango Oyo Heritage Continuity in Oyo and the Diaspora’ he delivered, said: “Our traditional religion is part of our heritage, which needs to be preserved and recognised.”

While reiterating his position as the defender of the African cultural heritage, not only on the continent, but across the globe, he said the frontal attack on Yoruba religious, socio-cultural and spiritual traditions must be resisted and confronted with a ‘superior spiritual force’.

Police arrest 2 Nigerian money-laundering suspects, seize 1.3 million euros

euro, money, eurozone

The Lithuanian Financial Crime Investigation Service seized 1.8 million US dollars (EUR 1.3 million) from a Nigerian company and arrested two Nigerian citizens on money laundering charges.

The service said the two Nigerian citizens purchased an inactive company registered in Lithuania in 2012. Earlier this year, a Hong Kong-registered off-shore company transferred 1.8 million US dollars to the front company’s account in an unnamed Lithuanian bank. The suspects tried to withdraw 100,000 US dollars in cash and transfer the rest to companies registered in Spain.

Lithuanian authorities had suspicions about the company’s registration address in a garage. The bank account was also opened while the company declared losses and has debts to the budget.

To collect possible evidence, the Financial Crime Investigation Service on Wednesday detained both Nigerians and searched their homes. The searches revealed documents, computers and computer media, as well as data crucial to the investigation.

Charges of money laundering, large-scale fraud, and document forgery have been filed against the Nigerian citizens. Prosecutors have asked for a court sanction to arrest the detainees.

MUGABE ORDERS WHITE FARMERS OFF OF LAND

Robert Mugabe

On Wednesday, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe (pictured) told White farmers that they must get off the land, because his nation is not a place for White landowners, according to AllAfrica.

Speaking in Mashonaland West at the A1 Model Settlement Tenure Permit, President Mugabe spoke of the reported few hundreds of White farmers who still own land in Zimbabwe.

“There are White farmers who are still on the land and have the protection of some cabinet ministers and politicians as well as traditional leaders.

“I have been given a list of 35 White farmers in Mashonaland West alone and in just a few districts that have been audited. We say no to Whites owning our land and they should go.”

President Mugabe then went on to clarify what Whites could actually own in his homeland, “They can own companies and apartments in our towns and cities but not the soil. It is ours and that message should ring loud and clear in Britain and the United States.”

Clearly just warming up, President Mugabe then turned his sights on Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, calling him a “boy from the streets.”

“We had an agreement with the Margaret Thatcher government and when Tony Blair came he reneged on that agreement. I pleaded with him to review his decision but he was a boy from the street with no experience so he stuck to his guns,” said the veteran leader.

“I was not amused and told him to keep his England and we would keep our Zimbabwe. We will not pay for our land and we will not ask our people to pay for it because they never paid for it in the first place.

“They were selling to each other among themselves, and we will not recognise any of that nonsense. They were living like kings and queens on our land and we chucked them out. Now we want all of it.”

Whites came from Europe and South Africa in the 1890s. The Land Apportionment Act of 1930 divided the lands by tribes: Whites, Shona, and Ndebele. And while traditionally, Africans shared the lands communally, the new laws that favored Whites made it nearly impossible for Africans to get financing, equipment, and training to farm large plots of land.

But Whites, who obviously already had a mastery of Western land ideology,  understood title deeds to land and were consequently able to buy and develop large areas of land for commercial farming businesses.

Their Western and White advantage led to other advantages, such as prime land in the fertile upland region, and not surprisingly, the White population flourished.

Meanwhile, Africans were regulated to low rainfall areas, forcing 99 percent of the population on to 25 percent of the land.

By 1979, Whites consisted of only 5 percent of the population, with only 4,500 farmers, but owned 70 percent of the fertile land.

Mugabe came to power on the heels of the Lancaster House Agreement in 1980, which stated that Mugabe couldn’t make any land reform changes for 10 years.

After decades of stops and starts in attempting to redistribute land back to Africans, by 2000, Zimbabwe government instituted the Fast-Track Land Reform Program, violently forcing mostly White farmers off their lands without compensation — earlier iterations of land reform ensured that Whites would be compensated for the lands they occupied.

The government reportedly seized 110,000 square kilometers of land and millions of Black farmers were said to have become unemployed.

By 2005, the Parliament agreed to nationalizing all farmland, silencing farmers who wanted to contest the land grab in court.

Today, the benefits of redistributing land among Africans cannot be comprehensively considered for two prime reasons: many of the beneficiaries of land that was formerly “owned” by Whites have reportedly had little experience in managing commercial farmland properly; this fact has supposedly caused crop production to plummet in the country. In addition, the United States froze the nation’s credit once the Fast Track Land Reform was passed, almost immediately cutting Zimbabwe’s trade surplus deficit of $322 million in 2001 to a deficit of $18 million by 2002.

Israel is not my birthright

I was raised to think the country was ours by divine right. But this horror has challenged even my deepest beliefs.

Israel is not my birthright

I’m writing this in my new baby niece’s room. I am here in Florida visiting my family because of this niece, this tiny pudgy innocent baby. We are Jewish, and it’s time for my niece to receive her Hebrew name in a sweet little ceremony at our longtime synagogue.

Last night I sat at the synagogue next to my 19-year-old daughter. I felt a swell of joy as the services began; I’d been away too long. I’d loved services as a child and teenager.

And then we hit the first mention of Israel as the Promised Land, and I burst into tears.

On the way to services, I’d caught up on Twitter a bit. I’d read about the Israeli missiles still falling on Palestine. I’d read about the outright murder of Palestinian children.

And I sat there and listened to the rabbi call Israel our Promised Land, and it broke something in me.

I am an American Jew of a certain age (40), and what that means is that I was raised to believe that Israel was ours by divine right.

It sounds ridiculous when you say it aloud. Especially because, like many of my generation of Jews, I’m not particularly religious. Many Jews my age slid into paganism, a sort of ambivalent agnosticism, or outright atheism; we are cultural Jews rather than religious Jews. And yet when I first spoke about the conflict between Israel and Palestine some years ago, I found that falling out of my mouth – that God promised us Israel. It’s ours because God said so.

My daughter, trying to comfort me after the services, said, “Maybe it is the Promised Land, just not right now.”

My daughter is an atheist. And the narrative got her, too.

The history we are taught in our Sunday school is that we were there first, and that therefore the Palestinians are occupying our land. How long ago were we there, though? And who, exactly, is we? I find myself using that we – “We need to stop bombing Palestine,” “we need to give land back,” but I am not Israeli. I have never been to Israel. This is how deep it runs, this idea of possession.

American Jewish teenagers get a free trip to Israel, paid for by a Jewish foundation. These are called Birthright trips.

My daughter went to Israel two years ago. Not on a Birthright trip, the very name of which raises the hairs on the back of my neck, that entitlement to land that others have lived on for generations. She went with my parents, who have gone many times before. She visited various landmarks; she took lots of pictures.

Man checks into hospital for bleeding, stomach pain and finds out he’s on his period

A 44-year-old man in China’s Zhejiang province checked into Yongkang hospital with stomach pains and blood in his urine only to find out that he is intersex and had begun to menstruate.

According to Yahoo! Taiwan, the man, named Chen, found out after a CAT scan that he has a complete set of female reproductive organs. Genetic tests revealed that he also had XX sex chromosomes rather than XY, meaning that he is genetically female.

The International Business Times reported that Chen, upon closer inspection, was lacking secondary sex characteristics like an Adam’s apple, and that his genitals were neither male nor female, but “indeterminate.”

“He had short hair and was dressed in man’s clothes. We did not realize he was a female at first,” a Dr. Zhou told the Global Times.

Chen, who arrived at the hospital with his wife of 10 years, was diagnosed with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a set of genetic mutations that causes overproduction of the male sex hormone androgen and an inability to produce certain other hormones.

Baby girls born with CAH can have genital configurations that more closely resemble those of a male baby. Chen lived with the condition undiagnosed for his whole life. Over time the hormone imbalance contributed to a tumor on Chen’s adrenal glands, which doctors removed.

NC pastor kills self in front of deputies as they try to arrest him on child sex charges

A North Carolina pastor shot himself to death over the weekend as deputies were trying to arrest him on child sex charges.

According to WCOC-TV, Michael Mullis, the former pastor of Near Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, knew that he was being investigated for indecent liberties with a child before Rowan County deputies showed up on Saturday to serve warrants on him.

The sheriff’s office said that when deputies arrived to arrest him, he went to the bathroom to put on his shoes, and shot himself with a pistol.

“I’m sure he knew because our investigators had talked to him about this incident,” Concord Police spokesperson Maj. Gary Hatley told WSOC. “Or attempted to talk to him anyway — he knows we were investigating.”

A timeline provided by the victim indicated that Mullis was still serving as pastor at Near Calvary Baptist during the years of sexual abuse. The abuse allegedly ended in 2004, and Mullis resigned from the church in 2011 after 20 years as pastor.

Near Calvary Baptist Church has since changed its name.

“They knew each other and had a relationship I guess, but there’s no indication of any other victims” Hatley said, adding that the victim had been surprised by the pastor’s death.

Mullis’ wife was also reportedly at home at the time of the shooting. Investigators said that the case was now considered closed.

We don't want black or gay players! Zenit fans in shocking demand to club (in Russia - hosts of 2018 World Cup)

A group of fans of Russian side Zenit St Petersburg are calling for non-white and gay players to be excluded from their team.

This is another sign of the racism which plaguing the country that will host the World Cup in 2018.

Landscrona, the largest Zenit supporters' club, released a manifesto on Monday demanding the club field an all-white, heterosexual team.

It added that 'dark-skinned players are all but forced down Zenit's throat now, which only brings out a negative reaction' and said gay players were 'unworthy of our great city.'

Insult: Hulk (right) is a non-white player who plays for the Russian side

The club quickly sought to distance itself from the fans. Without directly referring to their manifesto, Zenit's Italian head coach, Luciano Spalletti, said on the club's website that 'tolerance for me is most of all the ability to understand and accept differences.'

'Furthermore, being tolerant means that you fight against any kind of stupidity,' he added.

The club, which is owned by state-controlled natural gas giant Gazprom, also told the R-Sport news agency it picked players on ability alone, insisting that 'the team's policy is aimed at development and integration into the world soccer community, and holds no archaic views.'

Zenit was the only top-flight Russian team without a black player until this summer, when it acquired Brazilian striker Hulk and Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel for 80 million euros.

French midfielder Yann M'Vila declined a move to the club in August after receiving death threats.

'I can personally assure you that I will do everything I can to help those who seek to explain to people what tolerance is, and the need to respect other cultures and traditions,' Spalletti said.

'I think that Zenit has proven through its work that the club understands what tolerance is, and what it means to have tolerant behavior. The team has gathered players from different countries and ethnic groups who work together to achieve a common goal, and work well.'

Meet The Woman Who Cuddles With Strangers For $60 An Hour

cuddler   cuddle

"Let's hold hands and cuddle up on the couch, or listen to some soft music while we curl up in your bed — I am happy to be the big spoon or the little spoon."
This is one of the first things you'll read when you visit Samantha Hess' website, Cuddle Up To Me.

At the age of 30, Hess is a professional cuddler. For $60 an hour, she'll intimately snuggle with strangers of all types, and bring them one-on-one cuddle time without the complications of a relationship.

The idea came to her in 2012, when she read an article about a guy with a "Free Hugs" sign at a local Saturday market. Another man stood next to him with a "Deluxe hugs, $2" sign, and ended up getting more hugs than the first guy.

"That was my lightbulb moment," Hess says. "I was at a place in my life, out of a 13-year relationship, where I needed a service that didn't exist. I was struggling and not ready for another relationship but still had an inherent need to be accepted and loved."

Hess didn't know where to turn. She wanted physical comfort that was safe and socially acceptable to reach out to.

So in May 2013, she started Cuddle Up To Me. A month later, a local newspaper featured her business in its annual "Best of Portland" issue, which helped the company gain traction. From there, the story spread to more than 40 TV stations across the country, accumulating over 17 million views — and her business took off.

Currently, professional cuddling is her only job, and Hess says she is making far more money from this business than she did in her previous jobs as a customer service representative or personal trainer.

"It's definitely enough to make a living just doing this job, and I never need to take more than five sessions a day," she says. By working six days a week, Hess can make up to $7,200 in a month.

About 90% of her clients are men between the ages of 20 and 75, and she says many suffer from severe traumatic diseases or disabilities that prevent them from having frequent human contact.

"I call my service a 'massage for the mind,'" Hess says. "It's meant to rejuvenate you and make you feel that openness and happiness in your brain by resetting your system from top to bottom."

Within 24 hours of her first session with a client, Hess usually gets a phone call or email about how much it meant to them. "I can't tell you how many times I've had to turn down tips, because people are so excited about it," Hess says.

Don't Get Too Excited About The 'HIV-Killing' Condom Yet

CONDOM

A groundbreaking new condom that uses an antiviral gel as added protection against HIV, herpes and HPV may soon hit the shelves in Australia. But some experts are wary of the effectiveness of VivaGel, the lube that makes the condom so potent against viral sexually transmitted infections.

The VivaGel condom, made by pharmaceutical company Starpharma, is the only condom of its kind to incorporate the antiviral compound, asodrimer sodium, in its lubricant. Lab tests show that it can "inactivate" up to 99.9 percent of HIV, herpes (HSV) and HPV, according to the company's press release.

But Dr. Anna-Barbara Moscicki, a pediatrics professor at University of California, San Francisco and an HPV expert, advises caution. She researched VivaGel as an intravaginal cream for women who wanted to protect themselves from viruses without using a condom, and found that it caused mild irritation and low-grade inflammation in study participants after two weeks of twice-daily use.

That's more serious than it sounds: Inflammation is the body's response to an irritant or pathogen. When a part of the body is irritated, the body sends protective white blood cells like neutrophils and lymphocytes to the site of the injury to begin healing it.

But it's those very cells, explained Moscicki, that the HIV virus uses to replicate itself and spread throughout the body. If the lubricant irritates a vaginal wall to the point of inflammation, the body could send white blood cells straight to the site where they are most likely to come into contact with the HIV virus.

Inflammation also breaks the skin barrier down, making it easier for HPV to access the basal skin cell layer and infect a person, said Moscicki.

Based on her 2011 study, as well as another one with similar results, Moscicki hopes that Starpharma has worked out the kinks that caused inflammation in study participants.

Surgeons discover 5-inch sex toy in woman’s vagina that had been there for 10 YEARS

A Scottish woman walked around with a five-inch sex toy inside her for 10 years without realising, doctors have reported.

The 38-year-old woman arrived at hospital complaining of severe weight loss, shaking and lethargy.

She had also experienced mild incontinence for 'a few weeks'.

On further examination, doctors were shocked to discover a strange foreign body protruding into her bladder from her vagina.

The 38-year-old woman admitted she was under the influence of alcohol when she used the toy (circled) and claimed she couldn't remember removing it or not

Surgical removal of the item at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary revealed it to be a five inch (11cm)-long sex toy.

Medical staff were even more taken back when the woman revealed she had used the sex toy with her partner ten years ago.

She also admitted she was under the influence of alcohol at the time - and claimed she couldn't remember removing it or not.

The woman had a normal IQ, no signs of depression or psychosis and had not been subject to any abuse, according to the case report.

But the sex toy had caused her potentially life-threatening damage.

The woman was suffering from a rare 'vesicovaginal fistula' – an abnormal tract which allows urine to flow into the vagina.

She also had an obstructive uropathy, where a blockage in the bladder causes urine to back up into the kidneys.

After removing the sex toy, doctors managed to repair the damage and the woman was later discharged.

One doctor at the hospital, who was not willing to comment on the patient's specific case, confirmed it was highly unusual for such a large foreign object to go unnoticed in the majority of instances - by patients or their partners.

This is because the vagina is full of nerve endings and is extremely sensitive, he says.

The patient’s case - reported in The Journal of Sexual Medicine - is the first time a sex toy has been left inside a woman for as long as a decade.

Ted Nugent: Native Americans Are ‘Unclean Vermin’ Who Don’t ‘Qualify As People’

Ted Nugent

In response to Idaho Native Americans canceling one of his performances, Ted Nugent displayed the behavior that caused the tribe to do so in the first place.

Nugent had been scheduled to perform a concert at Couer D’Alene Casino in Worley, Idaho on Aug. 4, but it was canceled after tribal officials were made aware of the racism Nugent has spewed over the years. The conservative rocker didn’t take the news very well, of course, and went on a disgusting rant during an interview with Gannett Wisconsin Media in which he called those who canceled the concert “unclean vermin” who aren’t real people.

“I take it as a badge of honor that such unclean vermin are upset by me and my positive energy,” Nugent hatefully said. “By all indicators, I don’t think they actually qualify as people, but there has always been a lunatic fringe of hateful, rotten, dishonest people that hate happy, successful people.”

To be blunt, it sounds like Nugent is talking about himself considering the racist remarks he has made about President Obama in recent years. The Idaho Native Americans who made the decision to cancel the concert did so precisely because of how hateful, dishonest, and rotten ‘The Motor City Madman’ is. We’re talking about a man who crapped his pants to avoid serving in Vietnam, a man who married a teen girl he was the legal guardian of just so he could have sex with her, a man who has called for the execution of Democrats and the President of the United States, and a man who has made racist comment after racist comment.

Native Americans are not only people, they’re the first people and original inhabitants of North America. Their ancient culture has played a large role in shaping America, and it’s because of hateful bigoted people like Nugent that Native Americans have been nearly wiped out.

This isn’t the first time Nugent has been stopped from performing a concert. Earlier this year, a town in Texas actually paid him $16,000 to stay away from them, and it’s amazing that more towns don’t do the same thing. But if the Couer D’Alene tribe wants a real rock star to perform at their casino, I suggest asking rock legend Tom Petty. Not only will they get to see a better show, they’ll get a better human being.

Woman lets Jesus take the wheel, Jesus pulls a hit-and-run

A Indiana woman ran over a motorcyclist and slammed into a Ford pickup truck because she let Jesus take the wheel. Which is crazy because, you know, the DMV has no record of issuing him a drivers license.

According to police, Prionda Hill, 25, was driving her Pontiac Grand Prix down Jefferson Blvd in Fort Wayne when, "out of nowhere God told her that He would take it from here and she let go of the wheel and let Him take it.”

That's when her lord and savior ran down 47-year-old motorcycle enthusiast Anthony Oliveri. Well, first Jesus knocked him off his bike, then he kept going.

“When I looked at that bumper and looked at that tire, I told myself, today is the day you die,” Oliveri told the Journal Gazette.

But Jesus spared his life that day, and instead of crushing Oliveri's skull, he just ran over his midsection, breaking all of the ribs on his left side and rupturing his spleen and bruising his kidney.

Normally one to heal the wounded, Jesus broke character and fled the scene. He smashed into the back of a Ford pickup truck before running off the road into some landscaping between two fast food joints.

By the time police got there, Jesus had peaced out, leaving Hill to deal with the aftermath. She tested negative for alcohol, but despite her admission to being prescribed Vicodin for pain relief, police did not administer a complete toxicology report, nor did they test for holy spirits.

Hill is being charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in injury or death, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and two counts of criminal mischief. Jesus said he would die for her sins, but no word yet on whether he'll take the rap for them.

DID YOU KNOW KISSING CAN CAUSE HERPES

If you think a kiss is just a kiss, you might want to think again, for the simple pleasure now comes with a health warning-it can cause herpes. The Australian Herpes Management Forum, which is to start an awareness campaign, has warned that a kiss is a major transmitter of herpes. The symbol of affection “poses risks to both adults and children”.

“No parent kissing their child or partner kissing their girlfriend wants to pass along the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), but people should be aware this is the main method of transmission. Once you have been infected with HSV-1 or HSV-2, the virus stays in your body for life and can reactivate at any time,” the Australian media quoted AHMF’s Executive Director Tricia Berger.

“If you have a herpes sore on or near your mouth, it is likely that you’ll pass the virus along to whomever you kiss. It is also possible to transmit the virus even when there are no apparent sores or symptoms, but the risk is higher when the sores are visible,” Berger said.

HSV-1 is the variant of the virus otherwise referred to as cold sores. It is commonly acquired as a child from contact, often a kiss, with adult relatives.

Berger said the herpes risk posed by kissing would be the main theme of a new community service awareness campaign. Television and radio ads will be aired nationally from August up to National Herpes Awareness Day, in October.

Couple arrested after grandma films them having sex on the beach in front of kids

The man looks like he regrets his action, but not the woman...see the smirk on her face...lol. A couple have been arrested after they were filmed having sex on a crowded beach in Florida in front of children, including a 4 year old girl.

Elissa Alvarez, 20 (pictured right), straddled Jose Caballero, 39, (pictured left) on a blanket for 25 minutes in full view of other beach-goers before they calmly went for a swim

When they returned from the swim and started again, a disgusted grandma filmed their actions on her mobile phone before calling police. They were arrested & charged with lewd & lascivious behaviour.

The grandma who recorded the porno on her phone said;

"This went on for about 25 minutes. I’ve lived here since 1978 and I go to the beaches, and I’ve never seen anything like this. They laid on the beach and passed out for hours. We thought they were dead. But when they woke up, they cuddled for a while - then they started into the same thing they did before.”

Madonna University student arrested for allegedly killing own father

Photo: Madonna University student arrested for allegedly killing own father

A 27-year-old undergraduate of Madonna University, Okija, Anambra State, Chijioke Ezebuiro, was paraded yesterday July 22nd by the Abia State Police Command for allegedly killing his 87-year-old father, Dr. Emmanuel Ezebuiro. This sad event comes barely three weeks after 21 year old Tolani Ajayi killed his 60 year old father inside the Redeemed Christian Church of God campground.

While parading Chijioke before newsmen, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Geoffrey Ogbonna said Chijioke is the chief suspect in his father's death because he was the only one around when the deceased was brutally murdered on June 30th at his home in Umuoriehi, Isingwu in Umuahia North LGA of Abia state. Continue...

According to his elder brother's statement to the police, Chijioke had often threatened to kill their father. The elder brother said he left their father and Chijioke at home to drop off his children at school only to return to find their father in the pool of his own blood. He immediately called the police after Chijioke could not explain what happened to their father.
Police preliminary reports shows that there was no evidence of someone else gaining access into the home when the octogenarian was murdered.
During his interrogation, Chijioke claimed he was having his bath when his father was murdered.
"After taking my bath as I was going towards my room I saw people screaming in my father’s room, so I decided to go inside to know what was happening there. When I went there I saw my brother and my cousin in my father’s room and I saw my dad on top of his bed. I was shocked to see blood on his head. I was so scared I had to go down stairs to call one of my cousins. When I came back with him we were asking them what happened none of them told us anything. He told us to go down stairs the next thing was for me to see police coming to arrest me, took me to the police station, saying I am a murderer, that’s all.” he said.
He denied ever threatening his life, maintaining they had a good relationship.

Opinion: Why Beyonce Should Get Out Of Her Relationship With Jay Z… NOW

Photo: Opinion: Why Beyonce Should Get Out Of Her Relationship With Jay Z… NOW

by Kate Leaver

If you believe their fans, Beyonce and Jay Z are about to kill real love.

Rumour has it that Beyonce and Jay Z will get divorced when they finish their Mr and Mrs Carter world tour. They’re travelling with relationship counsellors, and they’ve both been seen without rings. Cheating and beating rumours have been around a long time, but this time it’s different. This time it’s louder. There’s momentum.

With so many fans chanting, “Don’t do it, Beyonce!” you may not be able to hear what I’m going to say next. It may surprise you. It might actually make you angry.

Because while millions of people want the Mr and Mrs Carter fairytale to endure, I’m yelling, “Run, Beyonce. Run! Get out, get out, get out.”

Judging by the emotional tweets of their fans, perhaps it’s just me and Solange Knowles who think Beyonce would be better off without Jay Z. The consensus out there seems to be that if Bey and Jay can’t make it, nobody can. Romance is dead, love is over, all hope is gone, etc.

But before we mourn the possible end of Bey and Jay, let’s get real about their relationship. Their public romance has been painstakingly manufactured, but not even Bey’s publicist can make rumours of infidelity, dysfunction, and aggression disappear completely.

We’re talking about one of the most powerful couples in the world. They’re friends with the Obamas, they make more than $63million a year, and they can dominate the international news cycle for six days with one well-timed elevator fight that wasn’t even directly between them.

Together, they’ve got 27 Grammys, 20 Billboard Music awards, $1billion in personal wealth, 112million social media followers, 11 houses, seven fragrances, two world tours and one very cute child.

But all of their success and the angst about them splitting is based on a very questionable idea: That Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter is a good person.

I dispute that.

Consider this.

Jay Z has spent the past decade rebranding himself, forcing the world to forget that he can be a terrible human. It’s one of the most stunning public transformations in pop culture history – the young criminal who turned himself around from rough beginnings, became a rap god, and married the undisputed queen of pop.

This isn’t just about bad boy made good. Of course people can change. But there are many who believe Jay Z hasn’t actually changed. He’s just done a very good spin job.

Don’t underestimate Beyonce’s halo effect on Jay Z’s image – being married to a strong, beautiful, wealthy feminist is an astoundingly smart business move.

Cynical? Perhaps.

Sure, Jay Z rides the subway to concerts (which is conveniently captured for social media) and chats to old ladies (ditto). When his daughter, Blue Ivy, was born, he publicly promised to stop using the word ‘bitch’ in his lyrics. And he cultivates a real good-guy image, popping by the White House to visit President Obama, being a dad, and touring with his wife.

But Jay Z’s also the guy who shot his brother with a shotgun when he was 12, dealt cocaine for years, and got three years probation for stabbing record producer Lance “Un” Rivera in 1999 with a nine inch blade. That’s only 15 years ago.

He’s the guy who punched and shoved a young female fan backstage at one of his concerts, when she asked for an autograph. He’s the guy who defiantly sang about domestic violence in his duet with Beyonce, compared himself to Ike Turner, tried to get a coke dealer out of jail to work with him, and stands by fully clothed while his wife gyrates on-stage in her underwear. And he still uses the word ‘bitch’ in his lyrics.

Despite a $63million-a-year income, it appears Jay Z rarely donates to charity or does philanthropic work of a visible kind. In an interview with Rap Radar journalist Elliot Wilson, Jay Z explained this lack of generosity: “My presence is charity. Just who I am. Just like Obama’s is. Obama provides hope. Whether he does anything, the hope that he provides for a nation, and outside of America is enough. Just being who he is.”

Oh, and there was that time he said something so vile, his sister-in-law Solange Knowles fly-kicked him in the elevator of a hotel. Whatever that was.

Look, making judgments about a marriage – whether it’s between famous strangers or friends – is not really possible. Divorce is devastating, especially when there’s a child involved. We will never truly know what goes on between Beyonce Knowles and Shawn Carter… But enough people have whispered bad things about Jay Z now (rumours we cannot publish here but have gained a certain level of credibility because independent sources have verified them), it’s possible that Beyonce would be better off without him.

Beyonce’s fans worship her in an almost cult-like way. She’s such a prominent role model, she has the genuine ability to affect the way people think and behave. If she’s in a relationship that’s affecting her negatively, she needs to get out.

Because if she can get out, so can the women who worship her.

A statement released by the representative of the National Security and Defence Council Information Centre Andriy Lysenko, has said nine Nigerian students have been kidnapped in Ukraine but negotiations are under way to free the students taken captive by rebels in the eastern city of Luhansk.

Ukrainian news agencies say the suspected militants abducted the Nigerian students on Monday and have been holding them as prisoners at an occupied government security building, close to the Russian border.

The Rebels seeking greater autonomy have been waging a bloody battle in eastern Ukraine against the government and by so doing kidnapped nine Nigerian students schooling in the country.

Relatives of the kidnapped students have also been making efforts to hold a press conference at the Nigerian Embassy in Ukraine since their abduction on Monday.

America is still a deeply racist country

Gone is the overt, violent, and legal racism of my childhood in the 1960s. It's been replaced by a subtler, still ugly version.

A week after Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, I walked into my old hometown bar in central Florida to hear, "Well if a nigger can be president, then I can have another drink. Give me a whiskey straight up."

Only one day in the town and I thought, "Damn the south."

I had returned home to bury my father, who had spent much of the 1950s and '60s fighting for civil rights in the south. Consequently, my childhood was defined by race. It was why our car was shot at, why threats were made to burn our house down, why some neighbors forbid me to play on their lawn, why I was taunted at school as a "nigger lover".

It was nothing compared to what the blacks in town had to endure. I was just residing in the seam of something much uglier.

It is also why I left as soon as I could, exercising an option few others had. I eventually moved to New York City to work on Wall Street.

In the next 15 years I thought less about race. It is possible to live in the northeast as a white liberal and think little about it, to convince yourself that most of the crude past is behind. Outward signs suggest things are different now: I live in an integrated neighborhood, my kids have friends of all colors, and my old office is diverse compared to what I grew up with. As many point out, America even has a black man (technically bi-racial) as president.

Soon after my father passed away, I started to venture beyond my Wall Street life, to explore parts of New York that I had only previously passed through on the way to airports. I did this with my camera, initially as a hobby. I ended up spending three years documenting addiction in the New York's Bronx neighborhood of Hunts Point. There I was slapped in the face by the past.

In my Florida hometown, there is a train track that splits the town into two colors. When we passed into the black section of town, even if I were lying in the back of the station wagon, I knew it. The gravel roads would wake me, and I could basically smell poverty through the windows.

Crossing into Hunts Point in New York is the same, complete with a train track. The roads are paved, but feel unpaved. The stench of poverty has not changed much (industrial waste rather than uncollected garbage), nor has its clamor or its destructive power.

Neither has the color of its residents: the poor side of town in New York is still almost entirely dark skinned.

It took me a few months of slow recognition, fighting a thought I did not want to believe: we are still a deeply racist country. The laws on the books claim otherwise, but in Hunts Point (and similar neighborhoods across the country), those laws seem like far away idyllic words that clash with the daily reality: everything is stacked against those who are born black or brown.

We as a nation applaud ourselves for having moved beyond race. We find one or two self-made blacks or Hispanics who succeeded against terrible odds, and we elevate their stories to a higher position, and then we tell them over and over, so we can say, "See, we really are a color blind nation."

We tell their stories so we can forget about the others, the ones who couldn't overcome the long odds, the ones born into neighborhoods locked down by the absurd war on drugs, the ones born with almost even odds that their fathers will at some point be in jail, the ones born into neighborhoods that few want to teach in, neighborhoods scarce of resources.

We tell the stories of success and say: see anyone can pull themselves up by their bootstraps, further denigrating those who can't escape poverty. It plays into the false and pernicious narrative that poverty is somehow a fault of desire, a fault of intelligence, a fault of skills. No, poverty is not a failing of the residents of Hunts Point who are just as decent and talented as anyone else. Rather it is a failing our broader society.

It took me seeing one black teen thrown against a bodega wall by cops, for no reason, to erase much of the image of seeing Obama elected. It took the unsolved murder of a 15-year-old Hunts Point girl, a girl my middle daughter's age, to make me viscerally understand how lucky my children are. It took watching as one smart child grew from dreaming of college to dealing drugs to viscerally understand how lucky everyone in my old office is.

The barriers between Hunts Point and the rest of New York are not as high as they were between the white and black section of my hometown in the 1960s. People can freely pass over them. Practically, however, they are almost insurmountable.

Gone is the overt, violent, and legal racism of my childhood. It has been replaced by a subtler version.

It is a racism that is easier to ignore, easier to deny, and consequently almost as dangerous.

*Under investigation after £4million of school funds ended up in his accounts
*Alleged to have spent much of cash on extravagant lifestyle and properties
*The High Court case is believed to be Britain's biggest ever education fraud

An accountant at a chain of academies championed by Michael Gove is at the centre of a fraud investigation after £4million of school funds ended up in his personal accounts.

Nigerian-born Samuel Kayode is said to have spent much of the cash on an extravagant lifestyle and buying a string of properties.

The 57-year-old part-time pastor was told by the High Court to pay £4.1million back to the Haberdashers’ Aske’s chain of academies more than a year ago.

He has failed to do so, and it is feared most of the cash has been transferred to Nigeria.

The case, kept secret for almost two years, is believed to be Britain’s biggest ever education fraud.

Although Kayode was arrested in October 2012, police have yet to charge him with any crime.

Chelsea Not Looking To Sell Mikel, He Was Resting - Agent

Photo: Chelsea Not Looking To Sale Mikel, He Was Resting - Agent

John Mikel Obi will join up with Chelsea FC’s players next week Monday and is not expecting to leave soon, his agent has confirmed to KickOff.

His agent told reporters that Mikel and Victor Moses had been given an extended break due to participation at the FIFA World Cup.

He said: "Mikel has been on break resting. But he is going to Austria on Monday to meet up with the rest of the team.

"I don’t know where people got the information that he was left out of the squad. He played at the World Cup, and he got a break from the club.

"It’s the same thing with some of the other players who got to the same stage. For now, he is not going anywhere. He will fight for his place. But this is football, and anything can happen at any time."

Mikel had been rumoured to be wanted out by coach Jose Mourinho due to his awful performance at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Mikel is what we call a Mourinho player. Mourinho had signed him during his first spell in Chelsea as an Attacking Midfielder, but moulded the young player then into a defensive-minded player.

Mikel has amassed over 200 appearances for the blues and winning all the major trophies in England and Europe with the blues.

Brics countries create $100bn bank to ease western grip on global finances

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa set up bank and currency pool to push for bigger say in global financial order.

The leaders of the Brics emerging market countries have launched a $100bn (£58.3bn) development bank and an emergency reserve fund in their first major step towards reshaping the western-dominated international financial system.

The Brics group comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The bank, aimed at funding infrastructure projects in developing nations, will be based in Shanghai, and India will preside over its operations for the first five years, followed by Brazil and then Russia, leaders of the five-country group announced at a summit. They also set up a currency reserves pool to help countries forestall short-term liquidity pressures.

The long-awaited bank is the first major achievement of the Brics countries since they joined forces in 2009 to press for a bigger say in the global financial order created by western powers after the second world war, which centres on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

The Brics were prompted to seek coordinated action after an exodus of capital from emerging markets last year, triggered by the scaling back of US monetary stimulus. The new bank reflects the growing influence of the Brics, which account for almost half the world's population and about a fifth of global economic output.

The bank will begin with a subscribed capital of $50bn divided equally between its five founders, with an initial total of $10bn in cash put in over seven years and $40bn in guarantees. It is scheduled to start lending in 2016 and be open to membership by other countries, but the capital share of the Brics cannot drop below 55%.

The contingency currency pool will be held in the reserves of each Brics country and can be shifted to another member to cushion balance-of-payments difficulties. This initiative gathered momentum after the reverse in the flows of cheap dollars that fuelled a boom in emerging markets for a decade.

"It will help contain the volatility faced by diverse economies as a result of the tapering of the United States' policy of monetary expansion," said the Brazilian president, Dilma Rousseff. "It is a sign of the times, which demand reform of the IMF."

China, holder of the world's largest foreign exchange reserves, will contribute the bulk of the contingency currency pool, or $41bn. Brazil, India and Russia will contribute $18bn each and South Africa $5bn. If a need arises, China will be eligible to ask for half of its contribution, South Africa for double and the remaining countries the amount they put in.

Negotiations over the headquarters and first presidency were reached at the 11th hour due to differences between India and China. The impasse reflected the trouble Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa have had in reconciling stark economic and political differences that made it difficult for the group to turn rhetoric into action. "We pulled it off 10 minutes before the end of the game. We reached a balanced package that is satisfactory to all," said a Brazilian diplomat, who asked not to be named.

Negotiations to create the bank dragged on for more than two years as Brazil and India fought China's attempts to get a bigger share in the lender than the others. Brazil and India prevailed in keeping equal equity at its launch, but fears linger that China, the world's second-largest economy, could try to assert greater influence over the bank to expand its political clout abroad. China, however, will not preside over the bank for two decades.

The NGO ActionAid International said that while it was pleased that plans for the new development bank were gathering pace, more needed to be done to ensure it was inclusive. "There are still no clear indications of how other stakeholders, including civil society, can have input into the bank's policies," said its advocacy coordinator, Sameer Dossani. "This is crucial to avoid the mistakes of the World Bank and others in the past."
